Gooee Takes the Netherlands by Storm

Day One – The Big Reveal

The Gooee IoT Arena was buzzing shortly after the reveal of the impressive exhibition space. Gooee’s partners loved the layout and bold statement which caught many other exhibitor’s eyes during the final setup touches.

The Speaker programme was fully packed with presentations from eight top industry disruptors including Neil Salt, MD of Gooee, Ralf Daggers from Croonwalter&dros, Gerard Lokhurst from HumbleBuildings and Jonny Lewis from Aurora Lighting. Topics across the day varied and encompassed the launch of Gooee into the Netherlands, getting a grip on building data, unveiling the Gooee ‘Single-Pane View’ allowing interoperability of BM systems, and how intelligent buildings are real, active and making an impact on the bottom line.

Gooee’s co-hosts HumbleBuildings brought some great life to the stand attracting visitors with Gooee and HumbleBuilding branded coffee – a must in Holland – and also HumbleBuilding branded apples. Both great crowd pleasers and welcomed many curious visitors to the brand new Arena to learn more about intelligent buildings.

In the evening all the partners were taken to celebrate the first and successful day with drinks and canapés arranged by HumbleBuildings. A fantastic way to round off the first day.

Day Two – Gooee Wins Two Awards

The seminars continued with eight presentations and a discussion panel at the end of the day. Another busy day with word obviously getting around the halls about the stature of the Gooee IoT Arena.

Presentation highlights include: Rick Jacobs from CBRE looking at smart real estate from the customer’s point of view, Mark Glynn from Gooee showing just how easy it is to install Gooee, Frits Cornelisse from Felio Sylvania focusing on how lighting and intelligent buildings go hand in hand, and Wouter Truffino, CEO of Holland ConTech & PropTech, getting everyone literally on their feet and engaged with the top trends in construction.

Today the Rabobank Innovation Challenge Awards were presented. Gooee was delighted to be awarded Best Innovation for the Digitalisation category and the Best Overall Technology in the Property Technology space. These awards further solidify the hard work Gooee have put into developing a solution that has a unique offering that gives control back to the people trying to manage and operate within buildings.

It was perfect timing for the Gooee Dinner with all partners invited to enjoy a meal, discuss the two exceptional days so far and most importantly look at what happens next for this powerful group of collaborators in the world of IoT, PropTech and Intelligent Buildings.

Day Three – Learning about the Power of Smart Continues

Continuing the desire to share knowledge and reach as many people as possible with the power of intelligent buildings, we continued our outstanding presentations, which included: Bastiaan de Groot from Ingy discussing how smart buildings can become intelligent without the huge financial investment that people perceive to be imperative; Shaun Taylor from Tridium showing the value that comes from embracing the IoT; and Gideon van der Burg from Leesman Index looking at the evolution of the workplace for staff, building managers and owners.

It was a whirlwind experience bringing Gooee to the Netherlands, and the high level of experts who spoke are a testament to the strong belief they have in the Gooee products and the way that intelligent buildings are the way forward. One thing is certain, this is the ‘humble’ beginning of launching Gooee and its partners into the Benelux market and all involved are committed and excited to work on the next projects to continue the success.

Thank you to our partners and sponsors for their enthusiasm, engagement and support to make this event as vibrant, informative and successful has it has been.
